Vivek Singh served up the ultimate Friday Night chicken tikka masala curry with naan bread on This Morning.
The ingredients for the ginger garlic paste are: 100g ginger, peeled and 75g garlic, peeled.
For the chicken: 800g boned chicken thighs.
For the marinade: 80g full-fat Greek yoghurt, 1 tablespoon Ginger and Garlic Paste, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1½ teaspoons salt, juice of 1 lemon, 1 tablespoon red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon ground cumin and ½ teaspoon garam masala.
For the sauce: 1kg tomatoes, halved, 5cm piece of ginger, half crushed and half finely chopped, 4 garlic cloves, peeled, 4 green cardamom pods, 5 cloves, 1 bay leaf, 1 tablespoon red chilli powder, 80g butter, diced, 2 green chillies, slit lengthways, 75ml single cream, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon dried fenugreek leaves, crushed between your fingertips, ½ teaspoon garam masala and 1 tablespoon sugar.
For the bread: 37g sugar, 1 egg, 400ml whole milk, 11/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 tablespoon salt, 750g plain flour, 50ml vegetable oil and 1 table spoon nigella seeds.
