Marcus Canty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Marcus canty semi finals xfactor\" src=\"\/images\/usa\/thexfactor\/2011\/live\/marcuscanty_m2.JPG\" alt=\"Marcus Canty semi finals xfactor\" width=\"791\" height=\"442\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Marcus Canty was voted off The X Factor USA last night in one of the most predictable results of the season.<\/p>\n<p>After escaping elimination on three previous occasions, Marcus had polled the lowest amount of public votes again and this time the judges were not able to save him.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus\u2019s exit at this stage means he will miss out on a chance to perform in next week\u2019s grand finale, leaving Melanie Amaro, Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik as America\u2019s first X Factor finalists.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus seemed to accept his fate with grace, though we can\u2019t imagine that it came as a shock to him. On hearing the result, he told Steve Jones:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is definitely not over yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Canty added:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod has blessed me so much during this competition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His mentor L.A. Reid insisted that his protegee will do well following the reality TV show and said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think you\u2019re a major star.
