And when Dermot O\u2019Leary revealed that the title has been awarded to the girl group, X Factor history was made.<\/p>\n<p>On hearing the news, the girls looked shocked to the core and while their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos wept, Jade Thirlwall raved:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are just so so grateful and thankful to everyone who voted. Thank you to all the X factor people backstage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leigh-Anne added:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOMG that is insane!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jesy Nelson continued:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is never going to sink in, seriously. We just want to thank the public for voting!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, \u00a0Marcus was gracious in defeat and tried to compose himself to wish Little Mix well. He told Dermot:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am really proud of myself and these girls really deserve it, they are amazing. I felt the performances went well, I enjoyed them and I hope the people at home did. It was amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His mentor Gary Barlow added:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was an amazing contestant.
