His prep talk set the scene for the task and he ended by saying:  \u201cThat\u2019s what this task is all about, you\u2019re going to have to source your second hand stock and then you\u2019re going to sell it to the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The teams were reshuffled for the task and each given \u00a31000 startup capital to source their stock. Lord Sugar also laid on a couple of shops in the East End of London for them to distribute their goods.<\/p>\n<p>Laura put herself forward on manage Team Sterling, and Tom was voted in to manage Team Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>See the teams in action in the video clip below:<br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* auditions 300x250, created 9\/6\/10 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"7469702309\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><br \/>\n<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"580\" height=\"330\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mU4fJkFoSRo\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, it was Jane McEvoy that ended up on the heap has she became the  latest candidate to be fired by Lord Sugar.<\/p>\n<p>Laura\u2019s team who had total sales of \u00a31444.25 with a total spend of \u00a3660.76 so a total profit of \u00a3783.49.<\/p>\n<p>Tom\u2019s team finished  with total sales of \u00a31423.50 with a total spend of \u00a3360.10 so a total profit of \u00a31063.40.<\/p>\n<p>As Phoenix enjoyed a 40s Swing party, Lord Sugar grilled Sterling in the boardroom, bringing their attention to the fact that they bought a huge amount of items for their store, with over 200 products purchased, compared to Phoenix\u2019s 50.<\/p>\n<p>Laura decided to bring Gabrielle and Jane back to the boardroom, Gabrielle for her costings on the upcycling and Jane for her lack of sales.<\/p>\n<p>After explaining that this boardroom decision was a tough one, Lord Sugar delivered his final verdict:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGabrielle \u2013 you got blamed for spending too much money but I admire your enthusiasm and on this particular occasion I\u2019m going to let you stay in the process,\u201d Lord Sugar explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt leaves me with having to make a decision about you two ladies. It\u2019s one of the more difficult ones I\u2019ve had to deal with. I have to judge it on the person that\u2019s got the most potential in coming in to business with me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLaura \u2013 you lost the plot and you didn\u2019t run the team very well. But I have a bigger concern with you Jane \u2013 you\u2019ve been in the losing team three times in four weeks and nothing I have seen yet tells me that you are this great business person.
