They were left disappointed and heartbroken, but then the judges asked for them to be recalled to the stage and invited them to form a pop group.<\/p>\n<p>The band performed for the first time as a group at the judge\u2019s houses stage of the competition &#8211; mentored by Paula Abdul. They impressed Paula enough to make it through to the <a href=\"\/musictv\/intensity-x-factor-usa-picture-slideshow\/\">X Factor USA live shows<\/a>.
