LA brings to the\u00a0X Factor\u00a0a wealth of experience in the music industry achieved over several decades \u00a0working with some of the biggest names in music on the planet.<\/p>\n<p>Given his world wide reputation and wealth, it was therefore no surprise to find out that LA has a small pad in the Hamptons, New York located a stone\u2019s throw from the beach in the sought after town of Sagaponack, where he will be putting\u00a0his contestants through there paces a ahead of the X Factor live shows.<br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* largexfactor 336x280, created 11\/25\/10 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"7071761240\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 336;\ngoogle_ad_height = 280;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>This year, LA was awarded the boys category by the X Factor produces to mentor on the show. Like all the other judges he must select the best four singers from the group of eight to compete live. To do this, he has enlisted the help of non other than global\u00a0 R&amp;B superstar Rihanna.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"La Reid and rihanna judges house\" src=\"\/images\/usa\/thexfactor\/2011\/houses\/boys\/lahouse04.JPG\" alt=\"LA Reid and Rihanna X Factor house\" width=\"632\" height=\"344\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Rihanna was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados. She exploded onto the American\u00a0music scene in 2005 after signing with Def Jam records at age 16 and released her first album, which went on to sell more than 2 million copies worldwide. Since then Rihanna has released more albums and hit songs, including &#8220;Unfaithful,&#8221; &#8220;Disturbia,&#8221; and &#8220;Umbrella.&#8221; Rihanna has also won multiple awards including Grammys, MTV Video Music Awards, and Billboard awards.<\/p>\n<p>The eight contestants that LA and Rihanna must decide on in the X Factor competition this year are:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td
