{"id":5347,"date":"2011-06-29T23:18:53","date_gmt":"2011-06-29T22:18:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=5347"},"modified":"2011-06-29T23:18:53","modified_gmt":"2011-06-29T22:18:53","slug":"the-apprentice-2011-results-zoe-beresford-fired-by-lord-sugar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/5347\/the-apprentice-2011-results-zoe-beresford-fired-by-lord-sugar\/","title":{"rendered":"The Apprentice 2011 Results: Zoe Beresford Fired by Lord Sugar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"Zoe Beresford\" src=\"\/images\/uk\/realitytvspy\/theapprentice\/zoeberesford.jpg\" alt=\"Zoe Beresford\" width=\"101\" height=\"126\" \/>Zoe Beresford became the latest candidate to be fired in the Apprentice after being tasked by Lord Sugar to create a new brand of biscuit.<\/p>\n<p>Each team had to produce,\u00a0 package and presentation their biscuits to leading supermarkets.<\/p>\n<p>Mixing the teams up, Lord Sugar appointed Helen, Natasha and Jim to Venture, with Zoe, Melody, Tom and Susan on Logic.<\/p>\n<p>Helen, with her background in food retail became project manager for Venture, whilst after a clash between Susan and Zoe over who has the best relevant experience to lead Logic, Zoe was elected project manager by the rest of the team.<br \/>\nHelen\u2019s team went for the children\u2019s market with an after school snack called \u2018Special Stars\u2019, a star shaped chocolate covered flapjack. However Natasha and Helen clashed on the strapline, with Natasha objecting to the phrase \u2018Any time is snack time\u2019 for the after school treat.<\/p>\n<p>Zoe\u2019s team had problems deciding on a product, with four alternatives being presented to a focus group. Eventually Zoe decided on Tom\u2019s complicated idea for one biscuit within another, with one half coated in chocolate. The group came up with the name \u2018Bix Mix\u2019 for their brand name, with a tag line of \u2018to snap and share\u2019<\/p>\n<p>In the boardroom it was revealed that Zoe\u2019s Bix Mix failed to secure a single order while Asda requested 800,000 units of Special Stars from Helen\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>Going over the failure of the task,\u00a0 Zoe and Melody clashed in the boardroom, with Lord Sugar saying the pair were getting personal as opposed to focusing on the business side of the show. Bringing back Tom and Melody back to the boardroom with her, Zoe told Lord Sugar the product that Tom created was to blame for her flop in the task.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* auditions 300x250, created 9\/6\/10 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"7469702309\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Lord Sugar told Tom: \u201cI don\u2019t see you asserting your authority. You\u2019re always talking about what you could\u2019ve done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He told Melody: \u201cThere always seems to be arguments with you and your colleagues but you always say you\u2019re not to blame.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Finally, on Zoe, Lord Sugar commented: \u201cYou are a good contender, but as team leader you should have been in the factory.
