{"id":34985,"date":"2016-02-13T12:24:35","date_gmt":"2016-02-13T11:24:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=34985"},"modified":"2016-02-13T12:25:07","modified_gmt":"2016-02-13T11:25:07","slug":"james-martin-steak-with-rendang-sauce-and-asian-slaw-recipe-on-saturday-kitchen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/34985\/james-martin-steak-with-rendang-sauce-and-asian-slaw-recipe-on-saturday-kitchen\/","title":{"rendered":"James Martin steak with rendang sauce and Asian slaw recipe on Saturday Kitchen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>James Martin showcased his steak with rendang sauce and Asian slaw dish for food heaven on Saturday Kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>James says: &#8220;There&#8217;s quite a bit of preparation required for this recipe, but it all comes together in a jiffy and the rich sauce is well worth the trouble.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>the ingredients for the rendang sauce are: 1 lemongrass stalk, roughly chopped, 20g coriander seeds, \u00bd tsp cumin seeds, \u00bd tsp ground turmeric, 1 star anise, 3 cardamom pods, crushed and seeds removed, 50g coconut cream, 1\u00bd large onions, sliced, 3 garlic cloves, chopped, 3 red chillies, seeds removed, chopped, 1 thumb-sized piece fresh root ginger, peeled and chopped, 1 bay leaf, 1 x 400g tin coconut milk, 250ml strong veal or beef stock, heated, 1 tbsp oil, for frying the steaks and 4 x 200g rib eye steaks.<\/p>\n<p>For the Asian slaw: \u00bc red cabbage, thinly sliced, 100g Asian greens, thinly sliced, \u00bc hispi cabbage, thinly sliced, 1 bok choi, thinly sliced, \u00bc coconut, grated, 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, 1 tbsp fresh mint leaves, 2 tbsp Thai basil and 4 tbsp sesame seeds.<\/p>\n<p>For the dressing: 2 limes, juice only, 4 garlic cloves, crushed, 2 tbsp finely grated fresh root ginger, 2 tbsp palm sugar, 4 tbsp fish sauce, 6 tbsp soy sauce, 1 red chilli, finely sliced, 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves, 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves, 1 tbsp fresh Thai basil and \u00bc coconut, shaved, to garnish.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/asian-beef.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/asian-beef.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"asian beef\" width=\"570\" height=\"301\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34987\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/asian-beef.png 570w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/asian-beef-300x158.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"James Martin showcased his steak with rendang sauce and Asian slaw dish for food heaven on Saturday Kitchen.
