They served their kebabs with a tasty sour cream dip and plum sauce.<\/p>\n<p>The bikers says: Shashlik is a Russian version of shish kebabs. If you don&#8217;t like pork you can use lamb or beef, just make sure you give the meat enough time to marinate and you cook it quickly over a high heat to keep it moist.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients: 1 tbsp olive or vegetable oil, 100ml white wine, 1 tbsp cider vinegar, 1 onion, sliced, 4 large garlic cloves, crushed, 3 bay leaves, crumbled, 1 tsp paprika, 4 cloves and \u00bc tsp cinnamon and 1kg pork, cubed.<\/p>\n<p>For the sour cream dip:  200g sour cream, handful finely chopped dill, handful finely chopped coriander, handful finely chopped parsley, 1 tsp cider vinegar and pinch sugar.<\/p>\n<p>For the plum sauce: 300g ripe plums, stoned and diced, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp cider vinegar, 1 red chilli, seeds removed, chopped or 1 tsp ground chilli, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander, 2 tbsp finely chopped dill and salt and freshly ground black pepper. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Shashlik-kebabs.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Shashlik-kebabs.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"Shashlik kebabs\" width=\"570\" height=\"318\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-30694\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Shashlik-kebabs.png 570w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Shashlik-kebabs-300x167.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Si and Dave make shish kebabs Russian style known as shashlik kebabs on The Hairy Bikers&#8217; Northern Exposure.
