{"id":30577,"date":"2015-09-11T22:10:52","date_gmt":"2015-09-11T21:10:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=30577"},"modified":"2015-09-11T22:14:02","modified_gmt":"2015-09-11T21:14:02","slug":"rick-stein-hunkar-begendi-spicy-lamb-stew-recipe-on-rick-stein-from-venice-to-istanbul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/30577\/rick-stein-hunkar-begendi-spicy-lamb-stew-recipe-on-rick-stein-from-venice-to-istanbul\/","title":{"rendered":"Rick Stein hunkar begendi spicy lamb stew recipe on Rick Stein: From Venice to Istanbul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rick Stein served up a tasty hunkar begendi Turkish spicy lamb stew on Rick Stein: From Venice to Istanbul.<\/p>\n<p>Rick says: &#8220;This stew is spicy with a fair bit of tomato in it and cooked until the sauce is thick and unctuous, but what makes it special is the aubergine pur\u00e9e.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients for the red pepper paste are: 660g red peppers, 50g tomato pur\u00e9e, \u00bd tsp salt, 1 tsp cayenne pepper and 2 tbsp olive oil.<\/p>\n<p>For the aubergine pur\u00e9e: 4 medium aubergines, 30g butter, 30g plain flour, 380ml full-fat milk, 75g Parmesan cheese, grated, 1 lemon, juice only and salt and freshly ground black pepper.<\/p>\n<p>For the lamb stew: 4 tbsp olive oil, 850g boned lamb shoulder, cut into 3cm cubes, 1 tbsp red pepper paste, 2 tbsp tomato paste, 1 onion, chopped, 2 large garlic cloves, chopped, 1 green finger chilli, sliced, 1 green pepper, seeds removed and sliced, 3 tomatoes, peeled and chopped, 1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp salt, freshly ground black pepper, to taste, 200ml hot water and chopped flatleaf parsley, to serve.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/spicy-lamb-stew.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/spicy-lamb-stew.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"spicy lamb stew\" width=\"570\" height=\"347\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-30580\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/spicy-lamb-stew.png 570w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/spicy-lamb-stew-300x182.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rick Stein served up a tasty hunkar begendi Turkish spicy lamb stew on Rick Stein: From Venice to Istanbul.
