The crab mayonnaise and dukkah can be prepared in advance and the fish cooks quickly so this is a great meal for an evening with friends.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients for the crab mayonnaise: 1 large free-range egg yolk,l 50g brown crab meat, passed through a sieve, \u00bd red chilli, finely chopped, \u00bd garlic clove, finely chopped, 1 small tsp Dijon mustard, 100ml extra virgin olive oil, 5 tbsp vegetable oil, lemon juice, to taste, 4 tsp buttermilk, \u00bd small bunch coriander, finely chopped and sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.<\/p>\n<p>For the dukka: 50g sesame seeds, 50g pistachio nuts, 10g nigella seeds, 5g cumin seeds, 25g coriander seeds, 4 tsp extra virgin olive oil and \u00bd lemon, juice only.<\/p>\n<p>For the sardines: 4 tsp extra virgin olive oil, 8 large sardines, scaled, butterflied and tails left in tact, 2 small Little Gem lettuce, cut into 4 lengthwise, \u00bd tsp sumac spice mix, \u00bd tsp chilli flakes and \u00bd lemon, juice only.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/grilled-sardines.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/grilled-sardines.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"grilled sardines\" width=\"570\" height=\"280\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-27559\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/grilled-sardines.png 570w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/grilled-sardines-300x147.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ben Tish serves up grilled sardines with crab mayonnaise and dukkah on Saturday Kitchen.
