{"id":21944,"date":"2014-12-01T10:50:20","date_gmt":"2014-12-01T09:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=21944"},"modified":"2014-12-01T11:32:20","modified_gmt":"2014-12-01T10:32:20","slug":"nadia-sawalha-festive-flapjacks-recipe-on-lorraine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/21944\/nadia-sawalha-festive-flapjacks-recipe-on-lorraine\/","title":{"rendered":"Nadia Sawalha festive flapjacks recipe on Lorraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nadia Sawalha makes delicious flapjacks for the festive season on today&#8217;s episode of Lorraine.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients are: 50g walnuts, 4 dried dates, 40g of sour cherries, 30g cranberries, 30g chopped hazelnuts,1 tbsp ground almonds, 50g butter, 100g golden caster sugar, 2 tbsp golden syrup, 100g porridge oats, 100g rolled oats and 100g white chocolate.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare the flapjacks, turn the oven on to 180C\/Gas 4.<\/p>\n<p>Roughly chop the walnuts and dates then put in a food processor with the sour cherries and the cranberries.<\/p>\n<p>Add a spoonful of ground almonds and blitz together leaving chunks of the nuts and fruit then tip into a large mixing bowl along with the hazelnuts.<\/p>\n<p>In a pan melt the butter with the sugar and golden syrup.<\/p>\n<p>Then mix the butter mixture in the oats, fruit and nuts and spread the mixture out in an oven tray then bake for 25 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water.<\/p>\n<p>When the flapjacks are baked cut them into rectangles and drizzle with the snowy white chocolate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/flapjacks.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/flapjacks.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"flapjacks\" width=\"570\" height=\"346\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21956\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/flapjacks.png 570w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/flapjacks-300x182.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Nadia Sawalha makes delicious flapjacks for the festive season on today&#8217;s episode of Lorraine.
