{"id":20670,"date":"2014-10-24T12:04:57","date_gmt":"2014-10-24T11:04:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=20670"},"modified":"2014-10-24T12:09:10","modified_gmt":"2014-10-24T11:09:10","slug":"phil-vickery-chicken-madras-curry-with-onion-bhajis-recipe-on-this-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/20670\/phil-vickery-chicken-madras-curry-with-onion-bhajis-recipe-on-this-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Phil Vickery chicken Madras curry with onion bhajis recipe on This Morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phil Vickery cooks chicken Madras curry served with a side dish of onion bhajis on This Morning.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients for the chicken Madras are: 8 skinless chicken thighs cut in half, juice 2 large limes, 2tsp any vinegar, salt, 4tbsp vegetable oil, 1 large onion, very finely chopped, 4 cloves garlic crushed, 2-3tbsp spice mix, depending on the heat you require, 1 x 400g can chopped tomatoes, 1tbsp tomato paste, 50g desiccated coconut, 200mls chicken stock, approx and small handful of fresh coriander, chopped.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare the curry, marinate the chicken into bite-size pieces and mix with the lime juice, vinegar and salt and leave for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or saucepan over a medium heat.<\/p>\n<p>Add the spices and cook for a minute or two to release their lovely spice flavour and aroma.<\/p>\n<p>Add the onions and garlic and cook for a further 6-7 minutes until softened and becoming golden.<\/p>\n<p>Add the chicken and fry for 3-4 minutes until it has become opaque in colour.<\/p>\n<p>Stir in the tomatoes and paste and cook for a couple of minutes before adding the coconut and a little stock.<\/p>\n<p>Bring to the boil then reduce the heat to a simmer.<\/p>\n<p>Cover with a lid and leave to simmer gently for about 20-30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Once cooked, stir in the chopped coriander.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/chicken-Madras.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/chicken-Madras.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"chicken Madras\" width=\"570\" height=\"323\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20673\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/chicken-Madras.png 570w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/chicken-Madras-300x170.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Phil Vickery cooks chicken Madras curry served with a side dish of onion bhajis on This Morning.
