{"id":20604,"date":"2014-10-20T15:18:52","date_gmt":"2014-10-20T14:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=20604"},"modified":"2014-10-20T18:06:35","modified_gmt":"2014-10-20T17:06:35","slug":"melissa-morgan-vegan-bakewell-tart-cupcake-recipe-on-the-alan-titchmarsh-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/20604\/melissa-morgan-vegan-bakewell-tart-cupcake-recipe-on-the-alan-titchmarsh-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Melissa Morgan Vegan Bakewell Tart Cupcake recipe on The Alan Titchmarsh Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Melissa Morgan makes vegan Bakewell tart cupcake on The Alan Titchmarsh Show.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients: 200ml soya milk, 20ml cider vinegar, 180g self-raising flour, 20g ground almonds, 200g caster sugar, \u00bc tsp salt, \u00bc tsp bicarbonate of soda, \u00bc tsp baking powder, 80ml vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon almond extract.<\/p>\n<p>To decoration: Raspberry Jam, toasted almond flakes, glac\u00e9 or fresh cherries and almond icing.<\/p>\n<p>For the almond icing : 400 grams of icing sugar, 50 grams of vegetable fat (shortening), 50 grams dairy free margarine, 20-30mls soya milk, 1 tblsp Vanilla extract and 1 tsp Almond extract (or more to taste).<\/p>\n<p>To prepare the bake, preheat oven to 180\u00b0C\/350\u00b0F\/Gas Mark 4 and line your muffin tray with muffin cases.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the soya milk and vinegar together and leave to sit for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>In a bowl mix by hand the dry ingredients until fully combined. Add to the bowl the soya milk mixture, oil, vanilla and extract. Using a metal spoon quickly mix together until just combined (about 10 seconds). <\/p>\n<p>Tap the bowl onto the work surface to halt the raising agents from working too quickly. <\/p>\n<p>Using an ice-cream scoop or a spoon, evenly place the batter into the lined muffin tray and tap the filled muffin tray on the work surface to pop the bubbles again.<\/p>\n<p>Place in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Cool on a wire rack in the muffin tray for 10 minutes and then remove cupcakes from the muffin tray and finish cooling them on the wire rack until room temperature.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/barkwell-cup-cakes.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/barkwell-cup-cakes.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"barkwell cup cakes\" width=\"570\" height=\"305\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20607\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/barkwell-cup-cakes.png 570w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/barkwell-cup-cakes-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Melissa Morgan makes vegan Bakewell tart cupcake on The Alan Titchmarsh Show.
