{"id":20150,"date":"2014-10-10T11:37:57","date_gmt":"2014-10-10T10:37:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=20150"},"modified":"2014-10-10T12:11:50","modified_gmt":"2014-10-10T11:11:50","slug":"phil-vickery-cottage-pie-with-swede-and-sweet-potato-mash-recipe-on-this-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/20150\/phil-vickery-cottage-pie-with-swede-and-sweet-potato-mash-recipe-on-this-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Phil Vickery cottage pie with swede and sweet potato mash recipe on This Morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phil Vickery serves up cottage pie with a twist with a seasonal swede and sweet potato mash topping for the weekend on This Morning.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients are: 500g minced lamb, 2 small onions, very finely chopped, 1 large carrot, roughly chopped not too large, 2 tsp dried thyme, 600mls lamb or beef stock, 100g red lentils, 4 tbsp flour, 2 heaped tbsp soft butter, 300g potatoes, peeled and chopped, 400g sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped, 50g butter, salt and black pepper.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare the pie, place the lamb, onions, carrot, thyme, stock and lentil into a saucepan.<\/p>\n<p>Bring to the boil and simmer for 35-40 minutes or until the lentils and carrots are cooked.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, mix the soft butter and flour together well.<\/p>\n<p>Boil the two potatoes together until very soft, then mash adding the butter salt and pepper. Once the mince is cooked, turn down to a simmer and mix the soft flour and butter together.<\/p>\n<p>Beat in enough of the butter\/flour mix until the mince thickens, then bring to the boil. The mix needs to be fairly thick.<\/p>\n<p>Pour into a casserole dish and cool.
