{"id":18735,"date":"2014-09-05T20:40:00","date_gmt":"2014-09-05T19:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=18735"},"modified":"2014-09-05T20:50:37","modified_gmt":"2014-09-05T19:50:37","slug":"hairy-bikers-scones-with-maple-syrup-and-buttermilk-recipe-on-teatime-treats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/18735\/hairy-bikers-scones-with-maple-syrup-and-buttermilk-recipe-on-teatime-treats\/","title":{"rendered":"Hairy Bikers scones with maple syrup and buttermilk recipe on Teatime Treats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Si and Dave makes delicious looking scones with maple syrup and buttermilk for a Teatime Treat.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients are: 300g self-raising flour, 100g medium oatmeal, plus extra for dusting, 100g wholemeal flour, 50g caster sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, \u00bd tsp salt, 160g unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for greasing, 100g walnuts, roughly chopped, 125ml buttermilk and 150ml maple syrup.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare the scones, preheat the oven to 200C.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the self-raising flour, oatmeal, wholemeal flour, caster sugar, baking powder and the salt in a bowl to combine.<\/p>\n<p>Add the butter and rub into the flour mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs.<\/p>\n<p>Fold in the walnuts.<\/p>\n<p>Place the buttermilk and maple syrup into a separate bowl and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>Add the buttermilk and maple syrup mixture to the dry mixture and mix well to make a dough.<\/p>\n<p>Roll the dough out on a floured work surface to 3cm\/1\u00bdin thick.
