It\u2019s desserts week in the bake off tent and the remaining bakers face more tough challenges set by Paul and Mary.<\/p>\n

First up is the signature challenge, and this week the bakers must bake saucy puddings – delicate sponges hiding a gooey saucy filling or a saucy surprise at the bottom. <\/p>\n

Next it\u2019s the technical challenge; they must bake a tiramisu cake with layers to Mary Berry\u2019s recipe. It’s a new kind of tiramisu requiring the bakers to temper chocolate, bake beautifully thin coffee-soaked sponges and create perfect layers of sponge, cream and chocolate.<\/p>\n

The one who does the worst job could well be in the firing line at the end of the third challenge.<\/p>\n

The main ingredients for a tiramisu cake are: 350g Unsalted butter, 125g Soft light brown sugar, 225g Caster sugar, 6 Free range eggs, 350g Self-raising flour, 2 Tbsp cocoa, 2 Tbsp instant coffee granules and 2 Tbsp boiling water.<\/p>\n

For the final challenge, the bakers must bake incredible show-stopping baked alaskas made up of cake, meringue and ice cream.<\/p>\n
