{"id":17831,"date":"2014-08-06T13:02:35","date_gmt":"2014-08-06T12:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=17831"},"modified":"2014-08-06T13:09:38","modified_gmt":"2014-08-06T12:09:38","slug":"gino-summer-friut-baked-alaska-recipe-on-lets-do-lunch-with-mel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/17831\/gino-summer-friut-baked-alaska-recipe-on-lets-do-lunch-with-mel\/","title":{"rendered":"Gino Summer Fruit Baked Alaska dessert recipe on Let\u2019s Do Lunch with Mel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gino D&#8217;Acampo showcase his summer fruit baked Alaska dessert on Let\u2019s Do Lunch with Mel.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients are: 3 eggs whites, 180g caster sugar, 2 shop bought Swiss rolls, 200g summer berries, large ones cut in half, 3 tbsp amaretto and 1 tub vanilla ice cream.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare the dessert, ix together the berries and amaretto.<\/p>\n<p>Line a 2 pint pudding basin with cling film, then cut 0.5 cm thick slices of Swiss roll<br \/>\nand line the base and sides. Place three scoops of ice cream into the basin lined with<br \/>\nthe sponge and press down slightly.<\/p>\n<p>Tip in the fruit, then cover the top with the remaining Swiss roll. Press everything down. Place in the freezer whilst you make the meringue.<\/p>\n<p>Whisk the egg whites to soft peaks. Whisk in the sugar one large spoonful at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Once thick and glossy, place in a piping bag with a star nozzle.<\/p>\n<p>Take the pudding basin out of the freezer and tip it out onto a plate.
