{"id":14355,"date":"2014-04-07T14:07:44","date_gmt":"2014-04-07T13:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=14355"},"modified":"2014-04-07T20:52:34","modified_gmt":"2014-04-07T19:52:34","slug":"mary-berry-roast-fillet-of-beef-with-roasted-garlic-recipe-for-summer-lunch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/14355\/mary-berry-roast-fillet-of-beef-with-roasted-garlic-recipe-for-summer-lunch\/","title":{"rendered":"Roast beef with mustard and roasted garlic recipe for Summer Lunch on Mary Berry Cooks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mary Berry makes roast fillet of beef with roasted garlic and mustard cream for a Summer Lunch on Mary Berry cooks.<\/p>\n<p>Mary says: \u201cA tender cut of beef is a little bit of luxury and this is the perfect main course to cook for a gathering of friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients for the dish are: 1kg middle-cut thick fillet of beef, salt and pepper, 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 whole heads garlic, 150ml mayonnaise, 150ml full fat cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche, \u00bd tsp sugar, 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare the dish: Rub the fillet of beef with plenty of salt and pepper and the oil.<\/p>\n<p>Heat a large frying pan until very hot and fry the fillet on all sides until browned, then transfer to a roasting tin.<\/p>\n<p>Place the fillet in the centre of the roasting tin, arrange the whole garlic bulbs around the fillet and drizzle with a little oil. Roast in a preheated oven at 220C for 23 minutes for medium-rare (only 20 minutes if it is a long, thin piece).<\/p>\n<p>When the beef is cooked, remove from the oven, cover with aluminium foil and leave to rest for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Serve hot or you can leave it to cool, and then wrap in more foil and place in the fridge to cool completely.<\/p>\n<p>To make the sauce, cut the roasted garlic bulbs in half horizontally and squeeze the garlic paste from each single clove into a bowl. Add the mayonnaise, cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche and sugar.<\/p>\n<p>Blend to a smooth pur\u00e9e using a blender or food processor. Stir in the wholegrain mustard.
