One of which was the Arctic beer which was commissioned by Queen Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>The queen wanted a beer that was life sustaining and that could be consumed by Arctic explores and invited the country\u2019s best known brewers to compete to see who could deliver a beer to meet her brief.<\/p>\n<p>It was Allsop brewer that won, and last summer Jamie and Jimmy flew in a beer historian from the States that brought with him a bottle of a beer brewed by Kirsty\u2019s family company in 1875.
