{"id":12433,"date":"2014-01-23T13:17:10","date_gmt":"2014-01-23T12:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=12433"},"modified":"2014-01-23T19:33:13","modified_gmt":"2014-01-23T18:33:13","slug":"lisa-faulkner-makes-victoria-sponge-and-shortbread-on-this-morning-comfort-cottage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/12433\/lisa-faulkner-makes-victoria-sponge-and-shortbread-on-this-morning-comfort-cottage\/","title":{"rendered":"Lisa Faulkner makes Victoria Sponge and Shortbread on This Morning Comfort Cottage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lisa Faulkner got baking today on the This Morning Comfort Cottage making a delicious looking Victoria Sponge and shortbread biscuits for her family.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa\u2019s shows us how she creates her comfort food to help get us all though this dreary, cold and wintery January.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/shortbreads.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/shortbreads.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"shortbreads\" width=\"590\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12444\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/shortbreads.png 590w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/shortbreads-300x152.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To make her shortbread biscuits, Lisa puts all the 175g plain flour, 125g  butter, 50g  caster sugar, a  pinch of salt and a  the seeds of a vanilla pod into a food processor and pulsed until it formed a dough. <\/p>\n<p>She then rolled out the dough into a circle that fits the tin, then pressed the mixture into the tin and forked the edges.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa baked shortbread mixture in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes 190C until golden.<br \/>\nOnce she removed the shortbread from the oven, she cuts it into 8-12 segments and forked holes in the top. <\/p>\n<p>Finally, she leaves the biscuits to cool in the tin before adding a sprinkling of over them sugar.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa says when it comes to making a Victoria sponge, it is all about the eggs.
