{"id":116663,"date":"2017-05-04T11:40:52","date_gmt":"2017-05-04T10:40:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=116663"},"modified":"2017-05-04T12:37:57","modified_gmt":"2017-05-04T11:37:57","slug":"the-fearless-chef-cod-in-coconut-broth-with-bengali-pesto-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/116663\/the-fearless-chef-cod-in-coconut-broth-with-bengali-pesto-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"The Fearless Chef cod in coconut broth with Bengali pesto recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Fearless Chef (aka Kiran Jethwa), served up cod in coconut broth with Bengali pesto on This Morning.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients for the poppy pesto: 100g poppy seeds, 100g whole yellow mustard seeds, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 bunch fresh coriander, mustard oil or olive oil.<\/p>\n<p>For the fish: approximately 250g cod fillet, skin on, 1 or 2 large banana leaves (or alternatively use parchment paper in the same way).<\/p>\n<p>For the broth: 2 tbsp coriander seed, 2 bunches spring onions, sliced, 2 red chilli, sliced, 200ml fish stock, 1 packet Kokum (dried mangosteen) or xx tamarind paste, 1 tin coconut cream, 2 tbsp sugar, Juice and grated zest of 1 lemon.<\/p>\n<p>For the crunchy topping: 1 fresh coconut, oil for deep frying, 1 bulb garlic, peeled and roughly chopped, 2cm fresh ginger, peeled and grated, 1 packet edible termites (if using!), 1 tbsp brown sugar, salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/cod.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/cod.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"cod\" width=\"500\" height=\"283\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-116665\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/cod.png 500w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/cod-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Fearless Chef (aka Kiran Jethwa), served up cod in coconut broth with Bengali pesto on This Morning.
