Chicken &#038; Egg food series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Si and Dave served up twice fried Korean fried chicken with sweet soy sauce and chilli sauce on the Hairy Bikers &#8211; Chicken &#038; Egg food series.<\/p>\n<p>The ingredients are: 8\u201310 chicken pieces (thighs work best), boneless, skin removed<br \/>\nFor the brine: 100g caster sugar, 75g sea salt and 200ml hot water.<\/p>\n<p>For the first coating: 2 heaped tbsp plain flour, 1 tbsp cornflour, 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp salt.<\/p>\n<p>For the batter: 125g plain flour, 25g cornflour, \u00bd tsp salt, \u00bd tsp baking powder and 100ml vodka.<\/p>\n<p>For the sweet soy sauce: 100ml soy sauce, 25ml mirin, 25ml rice wine vinegar, 2cm piece fresh root ginger, grated, 2 garlic cloves, grated, 50g brown sugar, few drops of sesame oil, 1 tsp cornflour and sesame seeds, for sprinkling.<\/p>\n<p>For the chilli sauce: 2 tbsp Korean chilli paste (gochujang if you can get it), 1 tbsp hot sauce, 1 tsp rice wine vinegar, 1 tbsp honey and few drops of sesame oil.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/korean-fried-chicken.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/korean-fried-chicken.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"korean fried chicken\" width=\"500\" height=\"259\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-111469\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/korean-fried-chicken.png 500w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/korean-fried-chicken-300x155.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-0466605792016836\";\n\/* food and drink *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3648486817\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Si and Dave served up twice fried Korean fried chicken with sweet soy sauce and chilli sauce on the Hairy Bikers &#8211;
