Today Zainab, Louis, Ruby and Charlie are the four new young bakers who made their way to the bake-off tent.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/day9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10990\" title=\"day9 bakers\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/day9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"561\" height=\"345\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/day9.png 561w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/day9-300x184.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 561px) 100vw, 561px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mary Berry and James Martin will keep a watchful eye on the young bakers and will set them two tasks to test their baking skills.<\/p>\n<p>The technical challenge for the bakes today is one of James Martin\u2019s recipes: butterfly cakes. The judges ask the bakers to make 12 of them filled with cream and swirled with a delicious lemon curd.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time that Zainab 10, from Hertfordshire, Louis 10, from Cambridge, Ruby 12, from Cheshire and Charlie 11, Norfolk will have baked one of James\u2019s recipes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/butterflycakes.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10991\" title=\"butterfly cakes\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/butterflycakes.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"590\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/butterflycakes.png 590w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/butterflycakes-300x158.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The showstopper challenge is one that tests the creativity of the four bakers. Today the young bakers had to bake a natural wonders of the world theme cake.<\/p>\n<p>The bakers were allowed to choose the size and texture of their cake, but it had to be well made, evenly baked with fantastic combination of flavours and a great design.<\/p>\n<p>For his showstopper challenge, Charlie made his chilli chocolate mountain cake with peppermint icing. Zainab made her coral ocean marble cake with buttercream icing.
