{"id":10583,"date":"2013-11-07T20:19:44","date_gmt":"2013-11-07T19:19:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/?p=10583"},"modified":"2013-11-07T20:19:44","modified_gmt":"2013-11-07T19:19:44","slug":"paul-hollywood-pies-and-puds-pumpkin-and-ginger-cheesecake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/10583\/paul-hollywood-pies-and-puds-pumpkin-and-ginger-cheesecake\/","title":{"rendered":"Paul Hollywood Pies and Puds: Pumpkin and Ginger Cheesecake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On today\u2019s Paul Hollywood Pies and Puds show, Paul demonstrated an alternative use of Pumpkins by making a pumpkin and ginger cheesecake.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/pumkincheesecake.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/pumkincheesecake.png\" alt=\"pumpkin cheese cake\" title=\"pumpkin cheese cake\" width=\"590\" height=\"333\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10584\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/pumkincheesecake.png 590w, http:\/\/thetalentzone.co.uk\/musictv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/pumkincheesecake-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The pumpkins were sourced from Mark and Verity Bachelor\u2019s farm in the north Kent countryside where they managed to grow the largest pumpkin we have ever seen.<\/p>\n<p>To make his pumpkin and ginger cheesecake, Paul used a type of pumpkin called Little Sugar, because as the name implies, it is quite sweet.<\/p>\n<p>Paul chops the Pumpkin into cubes then add  butter, then sprinkled over with caster sugar and drizzle with the ginger syrup the place in the oven to allow all the flavours to be infused into the pumpkin\u2019s flesh.<\/p>\n<p>For the base Paul use ginger biscuits that are crushed until they resemble breadcrumbs. The crushed biscuits are then placed in a bowl and melted butter stirred in until well combined.<\/p>\n<p>He then lined a baking tray with baking parchment and the placed four metal chefs\u2019 rings on the tray. The gingernut mixture is then divided between the bases and, using the back of a spoon, he pressed the mixture down to form a smooth base.<\/p>\n<p>The roasted pumpkin and any cooking juices are the placed in a food processor to get a smooth pur\u00e9e. The whipped cream, cream cheese and yoghurt are then combined together in a bowl and the stem ginger is then added and mixed.
