Katy Perry’s follow up album to her wildly-successful debut album One of the Boys had a lot to live up to. With her first single ‘I Kissed A Girl’ being a mega hit, Katy was up against the odds to produce an album better than her first.
It now looks as though Katy might have pulled it off, going by the success of the hit single ‘California Girls’. Having enlisted the help of top producers Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco, Max Martin, Stargate, and Tricky Stewart, this album should go multi platinum.

The title track of the album and second single, ‘Teenage Dream’ slows down the summery momentum built by the lead single ‘California Gurls,’ but only by way of tempo. Mirroring the end of summer, ‘Teenage Dream’ encapsulates that nostalgic feeling of desiring to cling on to summer romances and road trips while hanging out with friends on the beach.

Overall I think this is a great album. On it Katy experimented slightly with different genres and sounds that I think could win over a few critics.
