Jedward has become a Big Name in the Middle East

Jedward have apparently attracted fans as far as the Middle East following their Eurovision Song Contest performance.

The X Factor stars have reportedly been asked to perform on TV in Abu Dhabi, but without their female backing dancers.

Jedward have also been asked to sing ‘Lipstick’ on Pop Idol in Albania, reports the News of the World.

Pop Idol was one of the first offers that came in. When we found that it was legitimate we decided to go for it because it opens the door into the Eastern European music market. Clearly they love Eurovision, and Jedward, too,” said an insider.

“We thought the Abu Dhabi request was a joke. It’s hard to believe that Jedward have managed to capture the Arab market – but it just goes to show the power of Eurovision.”

Louis Walsh, the twins’ manager, is now planning to release their album Planet Jedward in Germany,  Sweden – and Austria following their surge in popularity.
