The X Factor: FYD Opened The Show In Style with Travie McCoy’s Billionaire.

FYD

FYD opened last night’s X Factor show with a stylish rendition of Billionaire by Travie McCoy. However, their performance seem to have exposed Louis Walsh as an old faddy daddy, he seem to think that acts should not be able to sing and dance at the same time.

Granted that FYD vocals were not as strong on the track as they could be, but they demonstrated that they have their fingers on the pulse when it comes to being a modern day popstar. Unfortunately, Louis Walsh has clearly shown he no longer know what it takes. But not to worry all you FYD fans, Simon Cowell put him straight on a few things on the night. It’s a shame they were up first on the night though; that usually counts against an act when it comes to voting.

Here is what the judges had to say:

Louis: Well FYD what a brilliant opening to show. Great song choice, great styling, great choreography, brilliant band. My only criticism is that you are probably better dancers singers but great opening well done.

Dannii: Great song choice for you. Just be careful with too many dance moves as it interrupts the singing, you don’t need to move that much.

Cheryl: For me personally you need to move some more. When you can dance you can learn to sing.

Simon: You can imagine Louis directing Fame and saying don’t dance. You’re relevant in charts today as people are singing and dancing in the charts. Great choice of song. You did great guys.
