J.K. Rowling has revealed that Emma Watson was “mortified” when she discovered that she would have to kiss co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
The author admitted that she had shared plot details with Emma Watson – Hermione Granger in the series – several years prior to the publication of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.
“I was having a girlie chat with Emma in her dressing room about three or four years ago and she said, ‘I think I’m going to have to kiss Rupert, aren’t I?’,” Rowling told the PA at the BAFTA Film Awards last night.
“I told her, ‘If I write it the way I think I’m going to write it, you’re going to have to snog both of them – Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint,’ and she was absolutely mortified and rolled off the sofa laughing.”
Watson added: “I was only 14 and the idea was absolutely… they’re like my brothers!”
