Steven Spielberg’s new movie Robopocalypse is based on technology we have today claims writer Daniel H. Wilson

robopocalypse spielberg 2014 movie

The must see movie in 2014 as got to be Steven Spielberg’s Robopocalypse. The movie is based on the book by author Daniel H. Wilson that tells the story of humanities desperate fight against a robot uprising.

Controlled by a childlike yet massively powerful artificial intelligence known as Archos, the global network of machines on which our world has grown dependent suddenly becomes an implacable, deadly foe. At Zero Hour the moment the robots attack the human race is almost annihilated, but as its scattered remnants regroup, humanity for the first time unites in a determined effort to fight back.

Although the story is very futuristic, Daniel Wilson reveals that the technology is largely based on what we have today. He said:

“Many of the machines and tools that exist in Robopocalypse are logical extensions of the ones we have now. However, some of the machines in Robopocalypse are designed by an artificial intelligence that is not human. As a result, I tried to make sure they don’t look like anything a person might design. As it says in the first chapter: “[the machines look like] people and animals from some other universe, built by some other god.”

This Walt Disney Movie is expected to be released in Summer 2014.
