From the producers of Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim Vs the World, ‘Attack The Block’ is a frantic, funny and frightening action adventure film set in a London housing estate.

Sam, a trainee nurse, is walking back from the hospital to her home in a hairy South London tower-block when she is mugged by a gang of hooded youths. However, their attack is interrupted by a bright meteorite which falls from the sky, crushing a parked car. Sam sees her chance to flee when the gang are attacked by the small alien who leaps from the wreckage but it’s no match for the gang who chase it down and kill it.

While Sam and the police are trying to hunt them down, the gang are getting tooled up as a further wave of meteors fall across the neighbourhood and the teenagers, buoyed by their easy defeat of the first alien, step out to defend their turf only to find that their new adversaries are a little bigger, a little creepier and a lot more savage than the suddenly enfeebled gang of youths had expected.
