Might & Magic: Duel of Champions is a free-to-play card-based effort that sees you facing off against opponents online and cross-platform.

You’ll be able to pick up additional cards and gain experience either by emerging victorious from battle or heading over to the in-game shop.

There’s no firm release date yet, but a closed beta is currently underway in France, which Ubisoft expects to expand to other territories soon.

The publisher has decided to re-launch the classic PC franchise with recently-announced strategy title XCOM: Enemy Unknown this year, according to Game Informer.

XCom is a game set in an alternative dimension, in which an unknown alien race is intent on ending mankind. Humans band together in an attempt to find out about these creatures, and how to defeat them.

It will mean that the first-person reimagining, which was first revealed in early 2010, will now be released in 2013.

Set during the early stages of an alien invasion, XCOM will retain elements of the strategy games, including team-management in battle and non-linear missions.

XCOM will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

The game is a dungeon crawling role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS featuring multiple classes and dynamic dungeons that change each time they are played.

It also offers an online co-operative option, allowing friends to team up to tackle more difficult enemies and challenges.

N-Space is developing the title, which will be published by Square Enix worldwide.

Heroes of Ruin is scheduled to release on Nintendo 3DS during spring 2012.

The latest version of the popular simulator includes the following features:

- Players no longer have to decide on which nations are playable at the start of their career. Football Manager 2012 gives players the ability to add or take away playable nations in their saved game as often as they want.

- Several changes to the transfer and contract systems, including loyalty bonuses, better implementation of amateur and youth contracts, an improved transfer centre and the ability to lock areas of the contract negotiation when you aren’t prepared to budge, which allows players to offer incentives to football players or agents.

- A new in-game scouting report which includes squad analysis, tactics information and information about goals scored and conceded alongside lots of other scouting improvements.

- New animations, new crowd system, improved weather system, more stadiums, two new cameras – “Behind Goal” and “Director Cam” as well as all other camera angles being reversible.

- A new adaptive layout system, which means setting higher screen resolutions allows more info to be seen. The new interface also contains new filters, customisable columns, a new tactics screen, and new overview screens.
